Linda G. Wiegand, born October 2, 1950, in Missoula, Montana, passed away peacefully on January 14, 2026, in Stayton, Oregon. Linda was the daughter of Naomi Harper and Jim Manley, and she grew up in Missoula surrounded by the rugged beauty of Montana. She graduated from high school in 1968 before setting out for California, where she built a life rooted in hard work, independence, and love.
It was in California that Linda met Johnny Wiegand, the man who would become her lifelong partner. They were married on June 5, 1976, in Carlsbad, California, beginning a marriage defined by deep companionship, shared dreams, and unwavering commitment. Together they raised their family and embraced the many chapters life offered.
In 1993, Linda and her family moved to Stayton, Oregon, where she would spend the remainder of her years. Professionally, she worked as a medical transcriber and later became the owner of a coffee cart business, taking on roles that reflected both her diligence and her warm, welcoming spirit. Yet her most cherished and enduring role was that of mother and homemaker. Linda poured her heart into creating a loving home, nurturing her children, and supporting her family in every way she could.
Linda is survived by her husband, Johnny; her siblings Lauri and Launie; her children Matthew Wiegand, Jack Wiegand, and Kristi Wiegand; and her grandchildren Nevaeh Music, Shianna Van Den Vrijhoef, Allison Van Den Vrijhoef, and Elliot Wiegand.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Lauren.
Linda’s life was one of quiet strength, generosity, and unwavering care for those she loved. She will be remembered for her gentle presence, her dedication to her family, and the many ways she made the world around her warmer and kinder. Her absence will be deeply felt, and her memory will be held close by all who knew her.
