Marilyn Beran, 91, passed away peacefully after a long and meaningful life. Marilyn was the middle daughter of Myron and Minnie Cole of Fairview, ID. She later made her home in Colorado before spending her final years in Oregon.

A graduate of Preston High School, Marilyn married Donald Beran in 1956. With their son, David Beran, they traveled to Australia and lived in Melbourne while Don earned his PhD. Afterwards, they moved to Longmont, CO where she worked as a Legal Secretary.

Marilyn always found great joy in nature. She especially loved hiking through the woods in Colorado and walking along the beaches of Oregon, taking in the beauty and quiet of the world around her. She shared a special bond with her beloved Labrador dogs, who were constant companions and a source of happiness throughout her life.

She is survived by her husband of 70 years, Don Beran; her son, David; and her grandchildren, Emma and Leo Beran. She was a very loving mother and wife, and took great joy in spoiling her grandchildren, who brought her immense happiness.

She will be remembered for her deep appreciation of simple pleasures, her independent spirit, and the warmth she brought to those who knew her. Marilyn's life was one rooted in a love for nature, animals, and peaceful moments.

She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
