Mark William Smith

Mark Wiliam Smith died on Sunday August 23rd. He was 12 days shy of his 73 birthday and 23 from his 36th wedding anniversary. He was funny – the first thing most everyone noticed about him. He was also kind, sweet, creative and generous. He was a talented finish carpenter, always paying attention to the details. He was also an accomplished cook; willing to try out new ideas on his friends and family.

Born in Salt Lake City to Lynn Kirk Smith and Carol Rose Jensen (Smith) on September 4th, 1953. His brother Kirk J. Smith and parents predeceased him. He is survived by his wife Suzette Boudreaux; sister-in law Yvonne Boudreaux and brother-in-law Ed Urbanski and many cousins. He was peaceful and pain free at the end.

My appreciation for the respect provided by Serenity Hospice and Salem Health for his end of life care. And to the EMTs and Fire Department out of Lyons as well as the Life-Flight crew that aided in his transport.

A celebration of life open house will be held at 403 North 3rd Avenue at North Santiam Watershed Council office in Stayton on October 18th from 2 to 4 PM.
