It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Marvin "Dale" Edwards. He left this world peacefully in the comfort of his own home in Mulino, OR surrounded by his family, on April 23, 2026. Dale was born to Marvin and Ruth Edwards in Lebanon, OR on July 25, 1945.

He was a proud graduate of Santiam High School in Mill City, OR. His sense of duty and adventure led him to enlist in the United States Army where he served his country with honor. After training at Fort Ord, he was deployed to Africa and stationed in Ethiopia. Upon return he and Vance were married on Valentine's Day, February 14, 1967. They enjoyed 59 years of life together. Dale chose Commercial Truck Driving as his life career.

Dale was a man of few words with a contemplative soul. His actions spoke volumes of his character. He found peace and solace in the outdoors doing his favorite things - Fishing and Hunting. It was always a good day to be doing either one. He never missed a season's opening day where he could be seen hiking into the forest or casting a line. This was his spiritual sanctuary.

Dale is survived by his lovely wife Vance, his son Chad and his wife Deann, and a sister Carol. He was blessed with 6 grand children and 6 great grand children. His son Adam predeceased Dale.

We will celebrate a life lived well and hold on to the memories he helped create. Dale's journey was a good one. He is now forever gone fishing.

Catch well!
