Mary Ann Rhodaback, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and community member, passed away on August 25, 2025. Born on June 27, 1938, in Salem, Oregon, to Gloria (Weddle) Heater and Douglas Heater, Mary’s life was rooted in the values of family, service, and quiet strength.

A proud graduate of Oregon State College, Mary earned her degree in Secretarial Science in 1960. During her college years, she became a cherished member of the Sigma Kappa Sorority (Upsilon Chapter), and an enthusiastic and unwavering fan of Oregon State athletics.

Mary's professional career included service as a secretary for the Greater Albany Public School System, where her diligence and warmth left a lasting impression on colleagues and students alike. Alongside her beloved husband Charles “Chuck” Rhodaback, she co-founded two successful businesses—Best Pots and Rhodaback & Son Janitorial Service—demonstrating entrepreneurial spirit and a tireless work ethic.

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Mary found joy in life’s simple pleasures. She was an avid practitioner of yoga, a lover of long walks, and a talented cook whose meals brought comfort and connection to those around her. She loved travel, including annual trips to the Oregon Coast, as well as adventures further afield in Calistoga, CA, Maui, HI, Washington D.C./Gettysburg, PA, and more.

Above all, Mary’s greatest pride was her family. She is survived by her three sons: Brian Rhodaback, Mark Rhodaback (wife Kristeena), and Steven Rhodaback (wife Gail); by her grandchildren: Sarah Mirati (husband Chris), Matt Rhodaback, Jordan Rhodaback, Amy Rhodaback, Elyssa Rhodaback (wife Carly), Parker Rhodaback, and Cammryn Gadd; and by one great-grandchild: Melissa Mirati. Her legacy lives on in their lives, shaped by her love, wisdom, and example.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Gloria and Douglas Heater; her siblings, Richard (Dick) Heater and Margaret (Margi) Heater; and her devoted husband Chuck Rhodaback, with whom she shared 46 beautiful years of marriage.
