With heavy hearts, we honor the life and legacy of Nancy Forste, who passed peacefully at her home on October 18, 2026, after a courageous battle with breast cancer. Born on March 19, 1954, in Ottawa, Kansas, Nancy's journey through life was marked by her unwavering kindness, strength, and dedication to those she loved.

Nancy was a cherished daughter to the late Donald Sr. and Doris Forste, who predeceased her in 2020 and 2000, respectively. She is survived by her devoted siblings: sister Janice Forste of Mill City, and brothers Don Forste II of Salem, Oregon, Will Forste of Tualatin, Oregon, and Neil Forste of Woodburn, Oregon. Though Nancy did not have children of her own, her life was enriched by her beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins, to whom she was deeply devoted.

A graduate of Clackamas Community College where she earned her Associate's Art Degree in 1979, Nancy dedicated her professional life to the retail and customer service industry. She left an indelible mark at Tradewell, Roth's IGA in Canby, Oregon, Sears in Clackamas, and finally at The Woodburn Wal-Mart, where she retired in 2016. Her colleagues and customers alike remember her as a beacon of warmth and dedication.

Nancy's life was characterized by her love of music and her passion for volunteering. An avid fan of The Beatles, Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, and Herman's Hermits, she found joy and solace in their melodies. Her commitment to serving others was evident in her extensive volunteer work with cancer initiatives, children's charities, and animal rights organizations. Her two beloved dogs, Mama and Chico, as well as her 40 year old Cockatoo Cricket, were her constant companions, reflecting her deep love for animals.

Throughout her life, Nancy exhibited a remarkable strength and resilience. Her battle with cancer, which began at the tender age of 12, was fought with grace and courage, inspiring all who knew her. She will be remembered for her boundless compassion, her huge heart, and her unwavering faith.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Nancy's name, reflecting her lifelong dedication to helping children in need.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Nancy's friends for their unwavering support over the years, as well as to Serenity Hospice for their compassionate care during her final days, as well as Weddle Funeral Home. Nancy's memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her.
