Phyllis Anne Meyers

Phyllis Anne Meyers, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and homemaker, passed away on August 27, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.

Phyllis was born on September 4, 1931, in Tacoma, Washington, to Julian Rudy and Annamae (Colby) Rudy. She attended Toutle Lake High School and later married the love of her life, Gordon Ray Meyers, on February 19, 1949, in Longview, Washington. Together, they built a beautiful life centered around family, hard work, and love.

Phyllis and Gordon were blessed with four children: Karol A. Meyers, Robyn R. Meyers (Bishop), Phillip G. Meyers, and Julie H. Meyers (Hersha). Their family continued to grow to include nine grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild, all of whom brought Phyllis great joy and pride.

Phyllis lived in Washington from 1949 to 1951 before making Oregon her home for the remainder of her life. After raising her family in Linn County, Oregon, she and Gordon eventually retired and embraced a new chapter together. They traveled across the country in their RV, enjoying the freedom of the open road and the snowbird life. Two of Phyllis's favorite places were Hood Canal, Washington, and Black Rock, Arizona, where she and Gordon made many cherished memories.

A devoted homemaker, Phyllis found happiness in the simple pleasures of life. She loved gardening, reading, crossword puzzles, farming, and traveling. She was a member of the Lyon's Garden Club, where her love of flowers, plants, and gardening could be shared with others. Phyllis also volunteered at the Stayton Senior Center, which brought her much joy.

Phyllis will be remembered for her devotion to her family, her warm and caring nature, and the many memories she created throughout her long and meaningful life. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Phyllis was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon R. Meyers; her daughter, Karol Ann Meyers.

She leaves behind her children, Robyn R. Meyers (Bishop), Phillip G. Meyers, and Julie H. Meyers (Hersha); nine grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and her siblings, Gene Rudy and Jerry Rudy.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Shriners Children's, in Phyllis's memory.

Her garden may no longer have her hands tending it, but the love she planted in the hearts of her family will continue to grow for generations to come.
