Redeem F. O'Reilly

Redeem Faller O’Reilly was born on September 22, 1948, in Manila, Philippines to Norberta Villamor Dirige Faller and Roman de Leon Faller. She was married to Dean O’Reilly on December 22, 1974, at the Tabernacle Seventh-Day Adventist Church in Portland, Oregon. She has two daughters, Misty Redeem O’Reilly and Marcie Lynn O’Reilly (Matthew Lapworth). Her grandchildren are Chester O’Re-Lap, Shirley Dean O’Reilly, Willow Nelson O’Re-Lap, and Cooper David. She has four siblings: Norve Lynn Faller Manalo (Fred Manalo), Ruel Faller (Connie Faller), Elmira Faller Sager (Scott Sager), and Luciebelle Dirige Faller. She is a proud member Philippine Union College high school Class of 1965. She graduated from Walla Walla College School of Nursing with an BSN in 1969, and from University of California Los Angeles with an MSN in 1976. She worked in healthcare first as a registered nurse at Portland Adventist Hospital, Multnomah Public Health Department, and many Portland schools. After completing the first MSN program at UCLA she became a women’s health nurse practitioner and cared for patients at various hospitals and public health departments. Redeem was the first in her family to graduate with a nursing degree and sponsored most of her family for citizenship. She enjoyed traveling, eating good food, gardening, bonsai, sewing, being with friends and family, being creative, listening to and playing music (saxophone, guitar, piano, organ, ukulele), being in nature, and walking. She lived in Baesa, Manila, Philippines until 1967. Then she immigrated to the United States of America and lived in Walla Walla, Washington from 1967-1969 and then moved to Portland, Oregon in 1969 to finish her nursing program and begin her professional career. In 1982, Redeem and Dean made the decision to move their family to Aumsville, Oregon, where she resided until her death on May 10, 2026. Redeem is preceded in death by her parents, Roman de Leon Faller (February 4, 2008) and Norberta Villamor Dirige Faller (July 10, 2013), as well as her sister, Lucie Belle Dirige Faller (October 4, 2013). Redeem is sooo missed by her husband, family, and friends. She is resting awaiting her savior Jesus and the reunion of family and friends. Redeem had the hope of spending eternity in her new heavenly home and encouraged others to be there.
