Regina Irene “Gina” Kovire passed away on January 12, 2026, in Corvallis, Oregon, leaving behind a legacy of warmth, curiosity, and gentle joy. She was born on April 6, 1956, at Ft. Lewis, Washington, to John Henry and Denise Neally Bullick. As the daughter of a military family, Gina spent her childhood and early years moving across the country and abroad, living in Washington, Texas, Oklahoma, California, and Germany. These travels shaped her adventurous spirit and gave her the chance to experience the beauty of Europe, including cherished visits to Austria, Italy, Switzerland, Neuschwanstein Castle, and Vatican City.

In time, Gina chose Oregon as the place she wanted to call home. Those who knew her best often called her Gigi—a name that captured her playful, affectionate nature. She found joy in simple, beautiful things: the rhythm of the ocean, the colors and scents of flowers, and the soft companionship of kittens. Her kitchen was a place of comfort and creativity, and she was known among family and friends as an excellent cook who poured love into every dish.

Gina is survived by her devoted companion, Robert Leith; her sisters Mechelle Harrington, Nicole Chase (Rick Hennig), and Aimee Privatsky (Tony Privatsky); and many nieces and nephews who adored her. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother John Michael Bullick, and her brother‑in‑law Ronald Harrington.

Those who loved Gina will remember her kindness, her laughter, and the gentle way she moved through the world. She was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed.
