Richard "Dick" Bladorn SR

Richard "Dick" Bladorn, Sr., passed away peacefully on February 10, 2026, in Salem, Oregon, at the age of 94. A lifelong Oregonian, Dick was born on April 24, 1931, in Woodburn, Oregon.

Dick was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Frieda Bladorn, who passed away in 2016. He is survived by his five children: Daylene, Dianna, Denise, Rick, Matt, 14 grandchildren, and 19 great grandchildren. His legacy lives on through them and through all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Dick proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. Following his military service, he dedicated his professional life to the Oregon State Highway Division, where he worked diligently until his retirement in 1986. He worked on many large projects, such as Interstate 84, where he and his family lived in Hood River for a short period of time.

Dick was a long time member of Calvary Baptist Church. His involvement within the church community was a constant source of strength and fellowship over the decades. Dick found great joy in golfing and camping—pastimes that brought him both relaxation and quality time with his friends and family. Whether on the green or at a campsite, he cherished time spent with others. He and his wife, Frieda, spent many years volunteering with Mobile Missionaries Assistance Program, MMAP, where they would help make repairs and improvements and many churches and church camps in Washington, Oregon, California, and Arizona.

He will be missed by everyone. May his memory bring comfort and peace to those whose lives he touched. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2026, at 03:00 PM at Calvary Baptist Church 1230 Liberty Street SE, Salem, Oregon, 97302. All friends and family are invited to this service.
