Richard Travis Morris, born October 27, 1972, in Salem, Oregon, to Karen Ann Roskop and Dickie Lee Morris, lived a life defined by devotion to family, hard work, and a deep love for the outdoors. He grew up in Sublimity, where he formed lifelong friendships and learned the values of perseverance and community. Rick graduated from Stayton High School in 1991, carrying forward a steady work ethic and a grounded sense of purpose that shaped the rest of his life.

Rick met Renee Christine Morris, the love of his life, and on May 1, 1999, they were married in Albany, Oregon. Together they built a home filled with warmth, laughter, and unwavering partnership. For the past 28 years, they made their life in Lebanon, Oregon, raising their family and creating a place where everyone felt welcome.

Professionally, Rick dedicated many years to construction, working for Canyon Contracting in Stayton. Before that, he spent a long and respected stretch of his career as a Ready Mix driver, known for his reliability, skill, and the pride he took in a job well done.

Outside of work, Rick was happiest under an open sky. An avid outdoorsman, he relished every chance to camp, fish, and hunt, finding peace and joy in the natural world. Whether casting a line, sitting around a campfire, or trekking through the woods, he embraced the outdoors with enthusiasm and gratitude. Above all, he treasured time spent with his family, creating memories that will be held close for generations.

Rick is survived by his beloved wife, Renee; his children Racheal Reyene Peterson (Caleb) and Rayanna Christine Morris; and his granddaughters Baylee Grace Peterson and Madilynn Christine Peterson, who brought him endless pride and happiness. He is also survived by his siblings Terry Morris (Teresa) and Michelle Huckabee (Tony), each of whom shared in the stories, laughter, and bonds that shaped his life. His loyal black lab, Willie, will miss him dearly.

Rick was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Michael, whose memories he carried with him always.

Rick will be remembered for his steady kindness, his love for the outdoors, his devotion to his family and friends, and the quiet strength he brought to every chapter of his life. His legacy lives on in the people who loved him, the work he accomplished, and the countless moments of joy he shared with those around him.
