Richard Ray Reneau, 79, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Friday, August 8, 2025.

Born June 9, 1946, in Tucumcari, New Mexico, to Thelma (Hostetler) and Claude Reneau. He was the youngest of their 4 children.

Richard graduated from Canby High School in 1964. After graduation, Richard joined the U.S. Navy to serve our country for 4 years. This was during the Vietnam era.

Following his time in the service, Richard attended and graduated from Rhema Bible College in Broken Arrow, OK. He then answered a calling to Christian ministry. He traveled all over the US and even went into Russia.

Richard worked for several different companies in his life from Weyerhouser, Boise-Cascade, Fought & Co., etc. He then retired from Oregon Pacific Construction in 2008.

Richard remained passionate about his love of Jesus Christ, family, friends, country, fishing, and southern gospel music throughout his life.

Richard was preceded in death by his sisters Lucy Zumwalt and Jane Williams; his daughter Amy Reneau; and his granddaughter Amy Westman.

He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Jenifer Reneau; his sister Caroline Lamb; his daughters Traci (Reneau) Klassen and Elizabeth Reneau; six grandchildren—Rick, Korina, Stephanie, Kyle, Brian, and Emily; seven great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, September 20, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Canby Foursquare Church with a potluck lunch served after.

Richard’s final resting place will be Willamette National Cemetery.
