Rosita Taisacan Mendiola Calvo, Lovingly Known as "Dodie” was born on August 17, 1951 in Tamuning, Guam to Felix Camacho Mendiola and Jeronima Atalig Taisacan.

She would move to Oregon and would Retire from the State of Oregon.

Rosie, was a virtuous and loving mother whose life was defined by her unwavering devotion to her sons and grandchildren. Guided by her deep faith she nurtured her family with patience, prayer, and unconditional love, always placing their well-being above her own. Her strength was evident in the close bonds she carefully built and preserved, keeping her family united through heartfelt and sincere compassion, graceful wisdom, and steadfast resilience. Rosie's legacy lives on in the faith she instilled, the love she shared freely and the enduring connections she cherished with her boys and grandchildren.

Rosie, was also a devoted and active member of her church, where her faith guided her life and actions. Generously giving her time and served with humility and devotion. She found strength in prayer, comfort and worship, and joy in serving others. Her commitment to the church community was a reflection of her deep love for God and her compassion for those around her. She was selfless and was always committed to helping family and friends without expecting anything back in return. This was a mere reflection of her generous spirit, her strong faith in God and her belief in caring for others.

Rosie passed away on December 29, 2025, in Salem, Oregon. She was preceded in passing by her husband Robert Songao Calvo Jr. and her son Ryan Mendiola Calvo and her parents; and siblings, Otton Taisacan Mendiola, Maria Anunciacion Taisacan Mendiola Cruz, Roman Taisacan Mendiola, Beata Taisacan Mendiola, Fedelia Taisacan Mendiola Calvo, Sylvestre Taisacan Mendiola, Fermina Taisacan Mendiola, Lucia Taisacan Mendiola Calvo. She is survived by her children, Robert Jr. III (Kristy) Calvo, Ronnie (Lori) Calvo, Roland (Mannette) Calvo and Bobby Jay Mendiola (RaniLynn) Apuron; Siblings Teresita Taisacan Mendiola Hill, Felix Taisacan Mendiola, Martin Taisacan Mendiola, and Otton Taisacan Mendiola; and Grandchildren:

Robert & Kristy Calvo’s Children: Austin Killion-Marsh, Justin Marsh, Jr., Devin Killion, Melody Marsh

Grandchildren: Greyson Marsh, Sebastian Marsh, Aiden Marsh, Maliah Marsh, Paisley Marsh, Thomas Outwater

Ronnie & Lori Calvo’s Children: Tia Reiko Mendiola, Shai Lorraine M. Calvo, Alana Lei M. Calvo, Namiko Nani M. Calvo, Kohana (Robin Joe) Calvo-Camacho

Grandchildren: Alfred Dario Herman Calvo Hocog, Alora Jane Mendiola Calvo

Though she now rests in God's eternal peace, we hold close the memories of her warmth, kindness, and unwavering devotion. Her prayers, guidance, and unconditional love shaped our lives and will forever remain in our hearts. While we grieve her passing, we are deeply grateful for the life she lived and the love she so generously gave. Her legacy will forever remain in the hearts of her family, who carry her love forward with gratitude and grace. We Love You Mom Infinites and Infinities Always and Forever!"
