Sandra Jean Bredeson (Horning) was born on June 24, 1940 to Glen and Ora Horning in Coquille, Oregon. Her Family moved to Portland, Oregon and then, during her grade school years, to Eugene, Oregon graduating from South Eugene High School in 1958. She was married to Donald “Mike”) Davenport until their divorce in 1974. During her time married to Mike she lived in Washington D.C. and Kansas returning afterwards to live once again in Springfield, Oregon. While living in Springfield with her four children, Sandra met Bob Bredeson while participating in a home bible study. The two started dating and would marry on June 1, 1975 at Norkenzie Christian Church in Eugene, Oregon. Shortly after marriage to Bob they moved with their four children to Eugene and Attended Allison Park Christian Church for a short while then Faith Center and Northwest Faith Center. During this period they gave birth to the 5th child (Anna) in their family. Sandra helped in the classroom and then taught at Christ’s Center School for many years in Junction City, Oregon. She loved helping and teaching and she was highly respected by many for her love for the kids and her ability to manage a classroom. However teaching was secondary for her love and commitment to her LORD and Family. She also loved being a Homemaker. The two moved to Junction City and then to Pendleton, Oregon where Bob worked and where they attended Pendleton Faith Center. After Bob’s retirement they moved to Salem, Oregon to live surrounded by their Children and their families and, with her husband, becoming members of Silver Creek Fellowship. In her spare time Sandra had many hobbies. They involved working with her hands such as sewing, knitting, quilting, cross-stitching and painting of all kinds. Outside she enjoyed working with plants and gardening. She loved camping and would make frequent trips to the Oregon Coast. Other times she spent her time reading historical Christian novels, listening to classical and contemporary Christian music. She also loved being involved in her church and helping at church functions. On July 3, 2019 Sandra went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She was preceded in death by her parents Glen and Ora; and, her sister Patricia (Carl) Dover.
