Sheldon Goldstein

With deep respect, we remember the life of Sheldon Goldstein, who passed away peacefully on August 4, 2026, in Salem, Oregon, at the age of 92.

Born on May 10, 1934, in Chicago, Illinois, Sheldon came into a world very different from the one he left behind, but throughout his journey he brought a quiet strength and integrity to every chapter of his story.

He was preceded in death by his loving and devoted wife, Helen May, who passed in 2003, being committed to their life together and their beautiful family; his parents, Hyman and Anna Goldstein; his sister, Beverly Moio; and his son, Steven Goldstein.

He is survived by his beloved companion, Diane Callahan.

Ele Dewar (Rick Jr.), daughter; Shelby Mundell (Johnny), granddaughter, and their daughter, Ruthie; and Madelen Koger (Owen), granddaughter, and their son, Kolter, expected in September.

Lesa Angelo Randall (Joseph), daughter; Albert Angelo III (Jessica), grandson, and their children, Albert IV, Alivia, Aurora, and Willa; Sheldon Angelo (Brianna), grandson, and their son, Sheldon; Julia Helen Angelo, granddaughter; Sidney Randall Mutchler (Rhett), granddaughter; and Dillon Randall (Paige), grandson.

Jenifer Rudolph (Mark), daughter; Lauren Blaco (Daniel Jr.), granddaughter, and their children, Eleanora and Lincoln; Nicholas Rudolph (Katy), grandson; and Corey Rudolph (Jaycie), grandson, and their son, Clayton.

Debbie Gerber (Perry), daughter; Becca Marsh (Travis), granddaughter, and their son, Bodhi.

Steven Goldstein (Michele), son, who preceded his father in death; Seren Goldstein, grandson; and Jordan Goldstein, grandson.

Michael Goldstein (Laurie Beth), son; Matthew Goldstein, grandson; and David Michael, grandson.

A graveside service honoring Sheldon’s memory will be held on August 10, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. at Lone Oak Cemetery, 1777 N. 3rd Ave., across the street from Weddle Funeral Service, in Stayton, Oregon. Please plan to arrive prior to use restrooms and find parking.

Following the service, a reception and celebration of Sheldon’s life will take place from 6:30 to 9:00 p.m. in the banquet room at Weddle Funeral Service - Stayton directly across from the cemetery.
