Sheldon Goldstein

With deep respect, we remember the life of Sheldon Goldstein, who passed away peacefully on August 4, 2026, in Salem, Oregon, at the age of 92.

Born on May 10, 1934, in Chicago, Illinois, Sheldon came into a world very different from the one he left behind, but throughout his journey he brought a quiet strength and integrity to every chapter of his story.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen; his parents, Hyman and Anna Goldstein; his sister, Beverly Moio; and his son, Steven Goldstein.

He is survived by his beloved companion, Diane Callahan; his children, Michael Goldstein (Laurie Beth), Debbie Gerber (Perry), Jenifer Rudolph (Mark), Lesa Angelo Randall (Joe), and Ele Dewar (Rick); as well as several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and extended family members.

A graveside service honoring Sheldon’s memory will be held on August 10, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. at Lone Oak Cemetery, 1777 N. 3rd Ave., across the street from Weddle Funeral Service, in Stayton, Oregon. Please plan to arrive prior to use restrooms and find parking.

Following the service, a reception and celebration of Sheldon’s life will take place from 6:30 to 9:00 p.m. in the banquet room at Weddle Funeral Service - Stayton directly across from the cemetery.
