Sherry Lynn Cain February 6, 1950 – August 10, 2025

Sherry Lynn Cain, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on August 10, 2025, in Aumsville, Oregon, surrounded by the love of her family. She was 75 years old.

Born on February 6, 1950, in Longview, Washington, to Harold Flory and Ruth Jimmison, Sherry grew up in a bustling, love-filled home alongside her siblings Clayton, Margaret, Kathy, Penny, Vickie, and Roger. She spent most of her life in Oregon and Washington, where she built deep roots and lifelong friendships.

Sherry’s heart was always with people. She worked in a variety of roles, from Payless Shoes to caregiving, but her greatest joy came from caring for children. Whether they were her own, family members, or those she watched over for others, she poured her kindness, patience, and gentle spirit into every child she met.

In her free time, Sherry loved life’s simple pleasures such as playing marbles with anyone willing to take on the challenge, rolling dice in a game of Yahtzee with her daughter, and taking trips to the Oregon Coast. She especially cherished visiting Pacific City, salmon fishing, and crabbing along the shore. Her adventurous spirit also took her to Missouri to visit family, always eager to explore new places and spend time with loved ones.

Sherry married the love of her life, David Cain, on September 10, 1991, in Reno, Nevada. Together they built a life full of love, laughter, and memories. Sherry was known for her happy nature, warm smile, and unwavering devotion to her family. She made every gathering brighter and every heart lighter.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Ruth; her brothers Clayton Flory and Roger; her sister Vickie; her son Frank; and her grandson Joey Seig.

Sherry’s love, laughter, and kindness will be carried on by her husband, David; her siblings Margaret, Kathy, and Penny; her children, Shelli Kern, Lora (Mike) McCall; stepchildren, Mark (Jinger) Cain, Richie (Terri) Cain, Cameron (Stacey) Cain, Carran Cain, Corie Cain, and Cindy Cain; grandchildren, Drew (Laney) Mcall, Skyler Cain, Kai Cain, Samara Cain, Sovereign Cain, Dylan Cain, Jason (Danielle) Magee, Riley Harris, Jocelyn Magee and Matthew Magee, Jonathan, Jackson and Cooper McCall in addition to many nieces, nephews, and friends who were blessed to know her.

Her life was a testament to joy, generosity, and family, and she will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege to share in her journey.
