Stella EG Laswell, a beloved mother, sister, grandmother and great grandmother, gracefully departed from this world on November 20, 2024, at the age of 87. She was born on December 19, 1936, in the picturesque town of Olathe, Colorado, where her journey began—a journey filled with life lessons that taught her the value of her family. A family in which she dedicated her life for them to be creative and respectful individuals that felt her love through her sacrifices. Stella was one of nine cherished siblings: Delphia Jiron, Martha Applegarth, Joseph Eiquihua, Elsie Givens, Dewey Quintana, Mary Stevens, Agnes Boyles, and Chris Luna.
Stella dedicated her life to the art of cooking and baking, always finding joy in bringing people together around the table. Her culinary creations were more than just meals; they were expressions of her care and affection for family and friends. Each bite carried the warmth of her spirit, making every gathering memorable. In addition to cooking, Stella was a talented artisan, where her skills in quilting, canning, crocheting, and needle point showcased her creativity and love for handmade treasures. She poured her heart into each project, crafting not just items, but memories that her family and friends will cherish forever.
Her faith was a cornerstone of her life. As an ordained minister by the Marriage Ministries of America, Stella touched lives through her spiritual guidance and support. A devoted member of the Lebanon Christian Center, she found community and connection that nurtured her soul. Her kindness and compassion were palpable, as she offered comfort and wisdom to those around her.
Stella's legacy continues to live on through her adoring family. She is survived by her beloved children, Ray and Jaci Eiquihua, John Laswell and Katie Silver, along with her cherished siblings: . Her grandchildren, Catherine Rousey, Donovan Hamad, John Lindsay, Kirsten MacDicken, David Eiquihua, along with her eight great-grandchildren, were blessed to have her in their lives. They will forever carry forth the values and love she imparted to them.
Stella is predeceased by her parents and four of her sisters and a brother, finding peace in the embrace of those who have gone before her. As they gather now, the bonds of family are strengthened, and her spirit shines brightly among them.
Though she leaves behind this earthly realm, the legacy of Stella EG Laswell lives on in the hearts that she has touched and the love that she has shared so generously.
