Wanda “Marie” Moon

Wanda “Marie” Moon August 23, 1947 – May 14, 2017 Aumsville, Oregon Marie was born in Forrest Grove, Oregon, to Jay Dee and Wanda Vernita Cook. She graduated Cascade High School in 1965. Marie worked for over thirty years as a computer operator for the State of Oregon in the Department of Revenue. She was also a dedicated member of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Her true life’s work was as a mother to her two children Shawn and Angela. She also cared for her five grandchildren. Marie loved her family and will be remembered as a gentle, caring, and dedicated mother and grandmother. Marie is survived by her children, Shawn (Julie) Moon and Angela Moon; grandchildren, Alexandrea, Katrina, Naomi, Andrea, and Sarah; Siblings, Tom (Patty) Cook and Charollet Bales; as well as various nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Jay Dee and Wanda Vernita Cook as well as her siblings James Cook and Sandra Rusher. Marie’s funeral service is scheduled for Saturday May 20th, 2017, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Stayton, Oregon, at 11 a.m. A graveside service will follow at Lone Oak Cemetery in Stayton.
